    Explore the geological wonder that is Harrison’s Cave. In the heart of Barbados, sits this historic cave discovered in the 18th century. Board their electric trams and travel underground discovering the natural stalactites and stalagmites in their quirky formations like The Village, The Great Hall and The Altar. Allow yourself to be dazzled by the naturally flowing streams and waterfalls and crystal clear pools as you navigate through the deep crystallized limestone cave.

    As you take a leisurely stroll through the four acres of forest, admiring the view and the especially fresh air, you’ll get the chance to get up close and personal with the charming animals. From the famous Barbadian Green Monkey, to the deer, mara, tortoise and beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds, there’ll be no limit to friends you can make. As you continue along the winding brick path you may find yourself in the aviary, admiring the breathtaking parrots and macaws or in the Reptile house, where you can become close acquaintances with the snakes, if you so desire.

We were lucky to be driven by Kevin, a very knowledgeable and friendly man who took us to see a couple of other places off the beaten track on the way to the wildlife reserve. We saw the monkeys, deer, tortoises and birds, a very enjoyable experience. We then went on to Harrison’s Cave which was very interesting and well worth visiting. Kevin even stopped so we could buy ice cream on the way back. We were so lucky to have Kevin as our driver and would highly recommend.

The wildlife experience was very interesting. The rainforest and the landscape in general are beautiful. Hakeem the driver, was punctual, efficient and professional.

We took this tour today and from start to finish it was amazing. Our driver (apologies forgot his name but began with H) was so friendly and gave us so much information on the island made the whole trip a fantastic experience. Even though he had to meet our timings we never felt rushed and truly felt that he wanted us to have the best experience possible. I thought that the critters would be the best part of the tour but the caves blew us away, the guide singing to us in the depths of the cave will stay with us forever. 100% recommended x
