Join in on a real moose safari in the forests of Tiveden! We start with outdoor dinner where you get to learn more of the moose, do a walk through moose territory looking for tracks. Finally we go safari to look for moose. The moose – the king of the swedish forest is our focus of attention during the evening. You will also get to learn more about the moose, it´s life and habitats. As well as how you improve your chances to find it. Did you know that the moose bull drops it´s antlers each year and new one´s grow the next year? The experience starts out in the woods, where you enjoy a dinner by the campfire. Remember to bring suitable clothing and shoes for nature where it can be wet and windy. During the meal you will get know-how of the moose and be able to ask all types of questions. We head out on a easy and short walk to experience the realm of the moose. We search for tracks in the marsh. Finally we head back to camp for the safari looking for the king of the Swedish forest.

    We will meet up, head for a spot in the woods where we will have a fire going, round of get to know each other, have outdoors dinner made on a pan on the fire, as well as learning a lot about moose and nature, go for a walk in the wild to search for moose tracks. And go in the minivan to spot for moose and other wildlife in the area around Tived and Tiveden national park. Warm welcome to our moose safari in the wild! (Remember to bring warm clothing, rain clothing as well as shoes suitable to walk in the woods where it always is wet somewhere. )

We had a wonderful experience with David. The Moose Safari is a must do in Sweden. We have seen two mooses! We had a great chat with David and a nice diner in the forest. Thanks a lot for this amazing moment!

Wir haben einen unvergesslichen Nachmittag & Abend mit David in der Wildnis der Region Tiveden verbracht, von dem wir uns noch immer wieder erzählen. Mit unserer Kleingruppe von 8 Personen (mehr passen auch nicht ins Auto, also Obergrenze - was super ist!) gings in den Wald, wo wir gemeinsam ein Lagerfeuer machten und uns David während der Zubereitung eines typ. schwedischen Wildnisessens* eine kleine "Elchkunde" auf Deutsch gab - mit vielen Materialen wie auch Geweihen zum Erklären. (*was verrate ich nicht, sonst ist die Vorfreude weg - aber es war sehr lecker, das sei verraten) Dann ging es erst auf eine kleine Pirsch um nach Spuren zu suchen und nach dem in der Zwischenzeit gebackenen Nachtisch mit dem Auto auf Elchsuche. Hier dauerte es nicht lange, bis wir den ersten Elch sahen und später noch 3 weitere - auch wenn diese weiter weg standen, aber das ist eben Natur und nicht berechenbar wie im Tierpark. Wer die Tiere unbedingt aus der Nähe sehen will, sollte besser in einen solchen gehen, aber mit David wird aus dem ganzen ein richtiges Wildniserlebnis mit viel Outdoor-Know-How und wir kamen voll auf unsere Kosten. Absolut empfehlenswert! Beim nächsten Schwedentrip werden wir David wieder buchen, dann geht's zu den Wölfen...

David does his job as a tour guide really well and we really enjoyed experiencing his authentic euphoria and love for nature and wildlife in Sweden. By eating together in advance, the group can get to know each other and you get the opportunity to learn a lot about moose. We have the impression that David’s many years of experience mean that the chances of seeing a moose are quite high and we were able to spot two moose despite not quite ideal weather conditions. We will remember this tour positively for a long time:)
