We did the full day tour on the boat from Bruny island. It also included being picked up from Hobart. A major shoutout to our coach driver and first mate David and our boat skipper Sam - so impressive with an absolute focus on safety and incredible professionalism - thank you. A tour that is an absolute must do and cannot recommend highly enough. So very enjoyable to capture Bruny in all its glory with enthusiastic commentary. Well done!

Highlight was the Cheese tasting, was excellent. Honey ice cream was good. Overall, a very nice day but a stretch to call it a "Gourmet" tasting. No wine and no one available at the chocolate or honey stops to give us a talk. Walk into the forest could have been more informative ie what animals would live there, what plants are edible, what did the aborigines use in the forest. Beach stops were good. Would have liked to see oyster and salmon farms included in the tour instead of the 1.5hrs lunch stop. We've all been to choc and honey shops before.

We expected a Gourmet day but that wasn’t exactly what we got although the day was interesting. We travelled by minibus & ferry to Bruny Island. We stopped at a cheese factory & brewery for breakfast which was or reasonable quality but expensive due to its craft nature. We went for a walk to see several local landmarks & then stopped at Pennicotts hotel on the island. Lunch were local oysters (which were excellent if you like oysters - I do) but the fish & chips were very disappointing - poor quality & overcooked. Then we stopped at chocolate factory & a honey farm. The honey was excellent but note you can’t take it into New Zealand if thats your next stop. They had advertised a distillery stop for Whiskey but it was closed. Overall we enjoyed the day but if you going to advertise “Gourmet” the food has to be excellent.
