Here you will see where locals come daily to get their hands on the freshest highest-quality ingredients. Here you will get to taste some local products from different family-run stalls which have been handed down through the generations.

Not to mention that you will also explore fantastic 75-year-old hidden family-run taverns. you will get to try your luck with our traditional Catalan Porron and three food tasting. We believe that the best way to get to a city and the people is through food. With this Tour, you are going to have wonderful, unique memories of Barcelona’s tastes and smells that will linger long after your trip is over.

    We will delve into the heart of the old city of Barcelona or Gothic Quarter, exploring down the winding medieval streets and hidden squares. After appreciating these cultural points of interest, we will then make our way to La Rambla, one of the most visited places in all Barcelona. We will also visit a local Pastisseria or pastry shop, an original 115-years old Modernista store, passed down through two generations. Everything here is handmade and baked fresh daily, and the artistic touches they add to each one will blow you away. Here we will try a typical Catalan pastry that has an interesting and rather amusing history dating back to the 1920s.

Have a back up plan! Our guide couldn’t get transportation so our tour was cancelled. While I understand “stuff” happens, it was frustrating to wait and wait then get cancelled. Also, I use these tours to get an overview of area and food scene so I can go back and revisit places. Since tour never happened (and could not be re-booked during my trip), was left to my own devices since I did not plan.

I can't believe I almost didn't do a food tour in Barcelona! Luckily another tour cancelled and I picked this one last minute. Our guide, Adrian, took us on a tour through the market while giving us a lot of different samples. Of course we ventured beyond the market and ate more.

Adrian was fantastic and we learned and ate a lot. Great way to spend the afternoon and I highly recommend. Great for adults and kids.
