Our Uluwatu & Kecak Dance Tour will take you on a half day journey to some of the top spots in Uluwatu, finishing with the famous Balinese Kecak dance as the sun sets over the beautiful Uluwatu Temple. Uluwatu is one of the must-see destinations in Bali, known for its stunning beaches, cliff top ocean views, the famous Uluwatu Temple and fascinating local culture. This all-inclusive half day tour will begin in the afternoon, when you’ll be picked up from your hotel by your own personal driver and tour guide.   • Kecak and Fire Dance, Pecatu, Indonesia
    The Kecak dance, or 'Tari Kecak', is a captivating traditional Balinese art performance, which also goes by, ‘the monkey chant dance’, and loosely 'fire dance', for its occasional use of fire as a centerpiece prop. The Kecak was created around 1930 and is now internationally recognized as one of Bali’s top-three signature dances (alongside the Barong and Legong). The Kecak dance is unique in that it has no other musical background or accompaniment besides the chanting of male dancers, intoning a “keh-chack” polyrhythmic choir during most of the performance. Kecak’s storyline is taken from the Ramayana Hindu epic and it’s often on the entertainment schedule of almost every Balinese arts and culture venue.

Our wonderful day out. Our driver and guide, Wayne, were both excellent and very helpful. The dance was even better than the gorgeous temple, thus it is highly recommended.

We again had Peter as our guide for our 2nd tour with Forever Vacations. Originally we were supposed to take the one with cruise. Personally the tour was average for me. The sights (Uluwatu Temple) was not as fantastic as I would have hope for. The dance was unique and the setting was great due to the sunset when the performance was ongoing. Peter was a great and caring guide. He had shown concern and helped my wife as she has difficulty with her knees. Lastly, he took care to bring us back to our hotel safely, and outside of his usual schedule.
