  • Assateague Island, United States
    We will tour the southern and northern parts of Assateague island on the Virginia side searching for Chincoteague Ponies and Wildlife. We will travel in small guts and waterways to get as close as possible to all the wildlife. During the tour we will pass the Pony Swim and Assateague lighthouse. Sometimes we will cruise out into the open ocean to search for dolphins. Most of our tours will travel the entire distance around Chincoteague. We will also ask questions during boarding to get a feel of what everyone's expectations so we can tailor the tour to your liking!

Best Pony tour on the Island. Beautiful weather in September, saw several ponies and the dolphins. Mike is the perfect Captain and tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Chincoteague and the Ponies. I was very impressed. Definitely want to do this again.

If you are looking for an informative and fun-filled boat tour of Chincoteague and all of its beautiful sights, this tour is the perfect option. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience we had aboard Captain Mike's pristine and very comfortable pontoon boat. Captain Mike was able to navigate some very tight spots so we could get up close to see ponies, eagles & other wildlife. He is also very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of history along the way. One of the highlights (it's hard to pick just one) was seeing Twist, a stallion who had been eluding everyone, including the Saltwater Cowboys, for weeks! We are looking forward to our next trip to Chincoteague and can't wait to see what new adventures we have while aboard another Up the Bay Pony Tours boat. We highly recommend Up the Bay Pony Tours to anyone looking to book a boat tour. You will not be disappointed.

Went on a tour with Up the Bay Pony Tours and it was excellent! Captain Mike was extremely knowledgeable about the ponies and wildlife. We would definitely recommend Up the Bay Pony Tours!!
