You really need to take the guided tour. Ann was amazing. Very entertaining and informative. She clearly knows her history and loves her job. My sister and I visited from the US and we were treated like old friends. The history of this building and Waterford is so old and fits well into all the other tours. Always pay for the guided tours. This tour gives you the dirt on the elite of the past. Well worth the time and price.

I loved everything about this Tour, the warm welcome by Debbie - The housekeeper that day, is a natural actress and story-teller. The gossip sets the stage and draws us in and it’s coupled with so many interesting stories , I was transported back in time! The collections housed here are stunning , and Debbie’s knowledge is inspiring. It was such fun from start to finish. There were a couple of late arrivals and The Housekeeper managed to keep it light and fun and stayed in character. A true professional! I don’t have anything negative to add only I guess that I’ll have to go again and take a note book and pen.
