This is one of many attractions to enjoy during a visit of the Viking Triangle, however, this museum is definitely at the top of the list. We joined a tour with our guide jamie, which made it absolutely fascinating, he was fun and professional, highlights included,
the Great Charter Roll of Waterford, created in 1373.
The cloth of gold vestments are the only full set of medieval vestments to survive in northern Europe
A ceremonial sword and two maces gifted to the city by King Edward IV in 1462, in the basement is the thirteenth century Choristers’ Hall and the fifteenth century Mayor’s Wine Vault.
After a wonderful tour with Jamie we spent another hour exploring, the displays further.
All in all a wonderful experience.
