Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum, Waterford, Ireland The Medieval Museum houses the 13th century Choristers Hall and the 15th century Mayor’s Wine Vault, in the heart of Waterford's Viking Triangle and is the only museum of its kind in Ireland and Europe that is built over two national monuments. I'm so happy and grateful for visiting this amazing museum, I was in a solo trip and it was my first time in Waterford, since I arrived in the museum I felt very welcome, the amazing staff were very kind and so attentive, specially the guide Tobbie (Sorry if I wrote wrong), he gave me loads of information about this historical city, I couldn't imagine how rich was the history. I really recommend this experience to everyone.

This is a truly excellent museum and some of the artefacts are genuinely stunning - notably the medieval vestments which seem to be of global importance as well as extraordinary in their artistry. The staff we met were also very friendly and helpful.
We were a bit disappointed (and frustrated on behalf of the museum) that the souvenir shop is missing an opportunity by stocking mainly generic Irish tourist memorabilia rather than items referencing the amazing artefacts in the exhibition. If there had been books or posters of the vestments, replica cloak pin jewellery or amber paternoster bracelets we would probably have bought them!
Hopefully food for thought.

This is a fantastic tour of 800 years of Waterford history. Parts of the building date to the 1200s, so it is an excellent setting for a museum. The exhibits feature some outstanding pieces, including the only piece of clothing worn by Henry the 8th that survives. Our tour guide, Toby, was extremely knowledgeable.
