Our 4 hour Winter Scenic Driving Tour focuses on the western areas of Glacier National Park that are open in fall and winter. We make stops in and around Glacier National Park. Your guide will discuss the history of the park, glaciation, and other topics your group is interested in. Our stops include: the Hungry Horse Dam & Reservoir, Lake McDonald at Apgar Village, Camas Road (road conditional permitting), and an additional "open" touristy stops along the way - Glacier Distilling for a tasting flight to warm you up, the Huckleberry Patch, Starbucks? Quick grocery run? We love our tours because they're custom and flexible to accommodate your group.

Your private tour includes local Whitefish Lodging pickup and drop off, and a private vehicle. If you'd like to be picked up outside of our normal radius, we're happy to do so, however it may be a slight up-charge to go out of the tours way.

  • Hungry Horse Reservoir, Hungry Horse, Montana, United States
    Our first stop is the Hungry Horse Dam & Reservoir where guests will learn about town history. Guests will learn about the reservoir and the Forest Service land that surrounds the dam.

  • Belton Bridge, West Glacier, Montana, United States
    Our next stop is the Belton Bridge in West Glacier. Guests will learn about the flood of 1964, the history of Belton in Glacier, and enjoy sights of the Middle Fork River.

  • Glacier National Park, Montana, United States
    Guests will stop at Apgar Village and/or Visitors center (depending on operating hours) and learn about Glacier, Lake McDonald, etc.
    30 minutes
  • Polebridge, Polebridge, Montana, United States
    We'll head out of Glacier National Park via Camas Road and the North Fork Road. Guests are able to stop for a short hike outside of the park boundaries (weather permitting). There will be an option to purchase lunch at Polebridge.

    Lori was great! So much information about Glacier National and the surrounding areas. She made the experience fun, we laughed a lot during tour. We would definitely recommend this tour.
