Our taxi didn't arrive. UK to Cancun flight mid December was delayed by about 90mins. but that aside, why else would you provide the flight number and scheduled time to Hoppa at time of booking other than for the taxi service to check the actual arrival time?
The delay occurred as we boarded the 9 1/2 hrs flight - no way of contacting Hoppa at that point. But I reasoned (incorrectly it seems) that as I had supplied the flight number and scheduled time the taxi service would check that and be there for us.
With the time difference and flight duration the taxi service had at least 7 hours to check arrival times.
When I eventually got to the hotel I cancelled the return journey (scheduled for 3 weeks later). Hoppa agreed to refund that but I still haven't received it. I asked for a refund for the first journey and have been in an email 'discussion' for 3-4 weeks now - no luck yet.
If you use Hoppa please read their T&Cs; they would seem to be exceptionally unfair - they're written to absolve Hoppa (or their partners) of any responsibility to provide a service, for any reason. They would seem to fly in the face of the Consumer Rights Act. every time I ask why all I get are standard answers, although one included a random photograph of people standing at Cancun airport as proof that the taxi service was there! This is the 2nd time I've been let down the other being in Antalya, Turkey... Abysmal customer service.
