Our guide Alfredo was incredibly knowledgeable—he has a university background and gave us deep insights into the landscapes, wildlife, Bolivian history, and culture. He also had great medical knowledge and helped with my minor altitude sickness with professionalism and care - including using the well stocked medical kit, including an oxygen tank. Our driver Samuel navigated some seriously difficult terrain with total calm and skill. We always felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. The itinerary was amazing—sunrise geysers, flamingo-filled lagoons, volcanoes, and of course the magical salt flats. The food was delicious, the car new, spacious and very clean, the accommodation luxurious, and everything ran exactly on time. We were treated to a private salt flat lunch, sunset with local wine, and stunning views every step of the way. Joker even helped us customize the itinerary so we could be dropped at the Chilean border and transferred to Calama Airport. When we ran into an issue crossing the border (our fault), they didn’t miss a beat—reorganizing our accommodation, transport, meals, and even booking our onward flights to La Paz when we had technical issues. And they did all of this at no extra charge. As non-Spanish speakers, this support was invaluable. We met other travelers who did cheaper shared tours and had rough experiences—poor food, cramped schedules, and missed transfers. Ours couldn’t have been more different. Yes, it’s a bit pricier—but it’s 100% worth it for the quality, comfort, safety, and peace of mind you get with Joker, including the professional support, before, during and after your tour.
