Based upon the reviews and novelty of the experience, our first time at a Hammam, we wanted to give this place a try.
This is a very popular place so be sure to make reservations as the first question asked for those entering is 'do you have a reservation.'
The staff likely deals with tourists all day long who don't have reservations and could be tired from them continuously walking in without reservations as the staff initial interaction with us/others was borderline curt/not warm and inviting.
Initially we made our reservation for 1 pm but quickly changed it to 3 pm for the Hammam experience 3 days later.
Unfortunately, the staff only sent an email reflecting the 1 pm reservation and never made the change to 3 pm.
We also tried to make reservations for the massage but were told they were booked solid for the 5 days we were in Granada.
On the day of our Hammam experience, I checked the email and it still reflected a start time of 1 pm, so we quickly hurried over only to be told that our experience was still set for 3 pm....I was a little put off by the attitude of the staff but not a huge deal.
Anyhow the Hamman bath experience was really good, time managed (you have 90 minutes unless you are also getting a massage) and had beautiful, relaxing decor, music and candle lights. The tea was also a nice touch.
Actually upon experiencing the baths, we were glad we weren't able to get the massage as the massage set-up wasn't as private as we expected and was in small open 'rooms' that extended from the warm pool/showers.
Anyhow we enjoyed our experience but it wasn't a wow experience, especially for what it cost.
I would definitely recommend, especially if you haven't done this before but probably wouldn't go back.
