I had a good, but not great, experience with Pure Diving Aruba. I was only in Aruba for one day as I was on a cruise ship (NCL Epic). They picked me up at the Cruise Terminal along with a couple of other people. It was a short ride to their setup on the dock where they have their operation. I brought all my own gear and was doing my #198 and #199 dives with them. There really wasn't much of a dive or safety briefing so I asked where the oxygen was. When I inquired about groupings just before getting in the water the DM said I was with her and she thought I was an Open Water Diver, which I am not. Another group was going to look for a wreck in 130+ of water and she asked them if I could join them. I told them I was a Master Diver with a Deep cert. They offered to take me but I declined since I was at the end of cold and was nervous about my ears bothering me at that depth. So instead I was buddied up with an OW diver with 9 dives seconds before getting in the water, so no time for a proper buddy check. He did fine, but the group had even newer divers who did not do as well. The two dives were nice, but unremarkable. I came up with half a tank each dive and had to change over my gear in between dives. I am not giving this operation a 5 Star review because I felt like I was more of an afterthought than a priority. I had a far better experience in Bonaire with another company and have left a separate review for that.
