Fliegenfischen in Bariloche

We did a four-day float trip with Juan and his team and had one of the best fishing experiences of our 60-week trip around the world! Their family’s passion for fish, rivers, and for the environments that we were fishing in was obvious and infectious. We are intermediate fly fishers, and Juan was an excellent teacher and guide—he was really everything we expect from an exceptional fishing guide, and was just a great human being to interact with. Great positive energy, in-depth knowledge of fish, fishing, and the rivers, and great stories! Even though this was the end of the season, we got into plenty of fish and had a great time fishing three very different sections of the river. This was my birthday trip, and the team made sure to put out a beautiful spread and cooked amazing food that really made it feel like a special day. Their base camp next to the Manso River is a slice of rural paradise. The tent was spacious, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in anywhere, and everything was clean and orderly. There is nothing better than falling asleep listening to the river and watching the moon rise over the mountains! It’s a magical place, and this setup is super efficient—no need to pack up your gear and move every day, so you get more time on the river. It’s the best value-for-money trip we’ve done. We would highly recommend booking a trip through Trout Bariloche—you will make lifetime memories!

I had a fantastic day with Trout Bariloche and their guide Juanito, who understood exactly when to help and when to step back. Top service, great local knowledge of the waters, where and what the fish would take. Dry fly fishing was great with several nice browns to the net. If you are in the area and look for great fishing, they are as good is it gets!
