Ended up cancelling completely. We booked via Caribbean Tourbase, which contracts with local outfitters, and we received poor service on both ends.
We booked a tour in Belize and received an automated confirmation the same day. Three days prior to the tour, we received a reminder email, which included the pick-up time at our hotel. After waiting 20-30 minutes past the pick-up time with no one showing up, we called the phone number for the local tour company listed in the confirmation email (A Plus Adventures). We tried multiple times to contact them, with the number only ringing and no one answering, or ringing and then hanging up immediately. Then we tried to contact Caribbean Tourbase, and only got an automated message stating "Thank you for your message. We're unavailable right now." They finally texted back later referring me to call the number for A Plus Adventures (which we had already been tried, with no answer). An hour after the designated pick-up time, someone from A Plus Adventures called our hotel stating that the tour had been canceled, but no one had given us advance notice. They offered another time, which was not compatible with our schedule. Really poor service and terrible communication, would not recommend.
