The guide, Emilio, met us in time and we travelled firstly to the mountains, which were dry and hot (it was July!) and the views were great. It wouldn’t have been possible to get up the mountains without a 4 by 4 as the tracks are rough and walking that far in the heat would be risky.
We then spent 4 hours on a beautiful, Sandy beach with a warm sea and huge waves. There’s plenty of beach bars and sun beds to hire.
The quieter beach has no beds and umbrellas but, if you walk towards the busy beach, there’s a guy selling sun shades which you can buy cheaply.
Very knowledgeable guide who told us to try Mirto (local liqueur) which we did and it’s worth sampling!
