Our guide was Gabrielle and she was the best! Picked us up at our hotel since we ended up being the only guests that day (we didn’t originally book a private tour) and she was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the park and wildlife that we saw, and saw tons of bison, pronghorn antelope, a fox, a big horned sheep, some wolves, a coyote, a hawk and a bald Eagle, a mother bear still in her hibernation den, etc. during snowshoeing she pointed out the different animal tracks and took us to an overlook of a beautiful river canyon. Snacks and lunch were great and she was willing to stop for tea at a little gem in Gardiner by the entrance of the park. Gabrielle even gave us recommendations for our next day in Big Sky and our dinner that evening in Bozeman. Highly recommend. We will request Gabrielle on our next trip to Bozeman!
Yes, you could drive through the park on your own, but the knowledge of what trails to snowshoe when everything is covered, the binoculars and scope, and the general spotting ability of our guide made the day feel truly worthwhile. She even airdropped us the pictures from the scope at the end of the day.
