This review is coming quite late, but the two dinner and wine tastings I attended are still fresh in my mind. Each time we got to taste a variety of Hungarian wines, all introduced by their own vintner who explained about the region, the grapes, etc.
We sat at one of two communal tables, and our company was really fascinating-- different people from around the world with some truly amazing jobs and stories. There were delicious hors d'oeuvres on the table, service was excellent, and the food was out of this world both times-- chef Tomas is an absolute talent. I don't think I've had fresh trout like that in my entire life, and when I told him how the dessert was like a religious experience, he gave me another portion. He said something lovely about the joy of seeing people enjoy his food.
All in all, the experience is incredibly well planned and executed, with talented, sweet, and interesting people both organizing and attending. I'd say this is a Budapest can't miss!
