Recommend ONLY if you want a nice sail to see the sunset.
The picture of the catarman on their website was misleading.....as it was much smaller in real life. They were able to cram all 30+ people on to this boat. Several people had to sit in the middle on the upper level (under the canopy), so they had no back rest to lean on. We sat on a bench type seat, which was better. There was not much room to walk in front of where we were seated, so every time a staff member walk past us, we had to move our legs to give them room to slide by, very annoying and inconvenient.
They did serve frozen drinks on the tour, which was refreshing. The staff was nice. The tour was a long slow haul along the coastline, and staff pointed out several landmark features. The coastline was beautiful.
When we finally arrived at the snorkeling area, we did so with several other boats. There were numerous people in the water. At times, it was hard to tell where your “group” was or which boat you were supposed to get back to. The water on the day we went was so murky, therefore, we could not see more than a couple of feet in front of us. One of the crew members got into the water with us and pointed to an area where there was a large formation of rocks...it was not a coral reef. That is where we saw the only fish in the area. We saw maybe five different types of fish. With so many people in the water, we would constantly hit fins and fight the tide to not be shoved into someone. On the ride back, we took nearly the same long slow route along the coast line and waited for the sunset. A traditional meal of chicken, rice and beans was served. It was very good but the downside is that you had to hold your paper plate on your lap to eat it. The sunset was very beautiful!!
I would 100% NOT recommend this tour if you want a great snorkeling tour. This is not it!! We booked this tour for the snorkeling and was so very disappointed. Recommend only if you want a nice sail to see the sunset.
