Bennys Heimküche Chiang Mai

We booked this cookery class on the recommendation of a fellow traveller. It was a fantastic day and a very memorable experience. Highlight of my stay in Chiang Mai.

This food experience is fantastic! Benny picks you up from your lodging and takes you to a food market frequented by locals. You and your group (of 9 people or less) buy fresh produce and everything else that is necessary for cooking. Benny has a great personality and explains thai cooking tradicions in great detail. She also gives you food recommendations from the market. After going to the market, Benny takes you to her home and her kitchen. The entire cooking área is clean and relaxing. You are in the beautiful countryside and can’t help but relax. Then comes the best part: the food. I made the papaya salad, drunken noodles, panang curry with tofu, tom yom soup, and banana cake. Everything was yummy, but i wish i had ordered the mango sticky rice instead of the banana cake. Benny helped everyone prepare the food and explained how to cool everything. Because of her help, I feel more confident that I can cook the food we made at home. Benny gives you a cookbook at the end of the day to explain how to cook everything. It is obvious that Benny loves her job and sharing her cooking with tourists and travelers. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Benny. Thank you Sexy Benny!!
