Bio-Luminescence und Sunset Kayak Tour

The trip, for $60 a person, is not worth it. 3hrs, we thought there would be SOME adventure was a total let down. 10 min of paddling and 2 hours of swimming. So we paid $240 to go swimming!!

Overall, we found the kayak tour experience disappointing and concerning. Although the tour was expensive, the main issue was not the value for money but rather the lack of safety precautions and organization. When we began the tour, a storm was approaching, but we were assured by both the agency and the guide that everything was safe and that the tour would proceed as planned. However, due to a delay caused by other participants who never showed up, we had to skip the mangrove visit and arrived at the bioluminescence beach around 5:30 pm with plenty of daylight left to explore the mangroves. As the storm worsened, the guide attempted to distract us by offering pineapple and coconut water while we waited for 45 minutes for the bioluminescence to appear. However, the situation became increasingly unpleasant, and we ultimately asked to return due to the extreme weather conditions. To our dismay, we discovered that our kayak had no lights, and the life jackets did not have lights either, which made us feel very unsafe. We were only able to rely on the guide's flashlight, and the only safety advice we received was to blow a whistle if we needed assistance. Fortunately, the return journey was not as perilous as we had feared, but we could not shake the feeling that basic safety precautions were not being taken. Upon our return, we were surprised to find that instead of a team waiting to greet us and ensure our safety, the agency was hosting a party. This lack of concern made us feel even more vulnerable, and we could not help but wonder what would have happened if we had encountered an unexpected problem during our tour. While we support local tourism and recognize the challenges faced by local businesses, we feel that there is significant room for improvement when it comes to basic safety precautions. In summary, this was the most disappointing tour we experienced during our time in Costa Rica.

Be careful !! During the tour the aventura tropicales golfo dulce cie ask you to let them your key's car (who was closed) to move it! During the tour, 1800 dollars were stolen ans the boss of the cie said me than nether the employees moved the car (they moved the five cars of the group that made kayak with us) and he said that file a claim would be usefull because no witness!! It seems to be an organised still. I went to tribunal to complain.
