This was a 10/10 experience! SUCH an amazing day!
We started with zip lining — which was the best zip lining I’ve ever experienced. 7 different lines that went across a stunning vista in the canopy. STELLAR views! There was a camera man on one of the last few lines that took pictures and you could buy them after. They did allow you to bring a phone on the zip lining if you had pockets but most of the day they had photographers so they take pictures of you on each part.
We then went horseback riding followed by a cultural experience where we learned about how sugar cane and pottery was made. We had the opportunity to taste the sugar cane and coffee. We could also purchase handmade pottery.
After that they offered an opportunity to go down the water slide. I didn’t participate but my two friends did. They said it was thrilling and a little scary! Bring flip flops or water shoes with you for this part. There’s an opportunity to change beforehand if you need to.
We then had lunch which was buffet style and had plenty of options to chose from including salad and vegetables, rice and beans and meat options.
Lastly we took a tractor ride to the hot springs where we could sit in a sauna and then apply volcanic mud to our bodies before washing it off. Then we went into 3 different hot springs. This was my favorite part! The hot springs were SO beautiful! They were in the lush greenery and by a river. It was so peaceful. We ordered an Imperial and dried off before heading back. Bring a change of clothes with you for the ride home.
The tour guide and everyone we came across at the nature preserve were so nice and helpful. They provide towels so you don’t need to bring those. But we brought bags with us and were kept on our bus throughout the day so we didn’t have to tote it around.
The day was SO much fun and I can’t recommend this tour more!!
