First, let me say that Viator's rating system considers a 5 "Very good" and we did take some very good tours and therefore scored them a 5. However, it's not really fair to those that are "Excellent"! Personally, I think 1 should be horrible, 2 bad, 3 good/avg, 4 very good, and 5 excellent. But, I have to go by their system, so I would say this was a 6 out of 5!
It was only my husband and I so we really had our own private tour. I was happy they didn't cancel with it only being the 2 of us. Ando was a great guide! He speaks great English AND he is easy to understand which as very helpful for me since I have a hard time making out words. He was very much about safety and the equipment was in good working order.
The tour was awesome with Ando's very extensive knowledge of Malaga and its history. We were really impressed with how much he knows about so much. It's always nice to see how locals see their city/state/country so it was nice to hear about some of his personal life/experiences as well to give some perspective. There were some spectacular views of the city as well - which is beautiful. The tour did not feel rushed and we were given ample opportunity to take pictures.
If there was anything negative at all, it would be that it was difficult to find - but that isn't the fault of the tour. The directions I printed in preparation for our trip were not at all useful as it's very difficult to even find street names in a lot of instances.
Overall, this was our favorite guided tour of the several we took on our Western Med cruise. I would highly recommend both this tour and Ando!
