Schnorcheltour auf der Insel Caño mit Mittagessen

This was more than just a snorkelling tour and definitely the highlight of our stay in Drake Bay. Our guide Alexa was amazing and had a lot of knowledge about the animals which she shared with us! The highlight of the tour was seeing humpback whales ????????. We could swim with sharks, we saw turtles and visited Caño Island! Definitely recommend this tour and thanks for this great experience! We had a fantastic day first speed boat whizzing along through the mangrove swamp. We saw a crocodile. The sea was very calm. The snorkeling was excellent, we saw many different tropical fish, turtles, crown of thorns starfish, and a huge shoal of big eyed Jacks (which was a real highlight of our whole holiday!). We went to the mainland to a stunning beach for a relaxed lunch before heading back to the swamp for a guided tour. Our guide was Josue who was really inspiring and passionate about wildlife and conservation. We all really appreciated his enthusiasm and wonderful manner, thank you Josue! (Please make sure you apply strong sunscreen to your back including back of legs or where protective clothes for swimming. Even though we all knew, we all came away sunburnt! )

Today we had wonderful weather and a calm ocean which made for a great start for our snorkeling tour. After a steamy day hiking in Corcovado the day before, the snorkeling was just what we needed to cool off, relax and learn so much thanks to our guide, Brandon. With his eagle eyes, he pointed out many types of fish and whether they were juveniles or adults, lobsters, and turtles. The boatride to and from the island was relaxing. We were provided water or cold tea and even beer when hanging out on one of the beaches along with fruit snacks and cookies. The lunch was very good with many options. I'd suggest wearing a long-sleeved sun shirt over your swimsuit and don't forget to use sunscreen...especially on the back of your legs!
