9 Tage Ägypten Reiseroute

What a trip and what an organization! We booked a 9-day tour from Cairo to Hurghada, and from the moment we stepped off the plane (we didn’t even have our luggage yet), we were greeted by a representative to guide us through the airport and into the hotel. Everything was extremely well organized. The tour guides were fantastic and spoke the language really well, the drivers were amazing, the private bus was very comfortable, the hotels were sublime, … There are only two slights I have. The first one is the fact that, once we arrived in Hurghada for some rest and relaxation (Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh has a beautiful reef for snorkeling, by the way) we didn’t receive any information about our pick-up for our departure. We had to ask twice ourselves, and even then the driver showed up an hour late to take us to the airport (but this really isn’t the organizations fault, and we still arrived at the airport on time). The second slight are the unnecessary stops at the tourist traps. We visited a papyrus shop, a perfume shop and an alabaster factory, even after making clear we did not wish to stop at these places. We didn’t stop at the perfume shop in Cairo so we stopped there in Aswan. If you say you don’t want to go there, you’ll be brought there anyway since the tour guide ‘has to pick something up’ or ‘needs to settle a payment’ or something like that. It’s not the fact that you stop at these places, but that it’s not mentioned anywhere in the itinerary. If you know in advance (and not told by-the-by on the morning of your trip), it wouldn’t be as bad. Still, those are the only negatives I have in a 9 day trip that was otherwise flawlessly put together. Definitely recommended.
