    Holt Sie von Ihrem Hotel in Dahab mit einem modernen, klimatisierten Bus zum Hafen von Taba ab, nimmt eine Fähre zum Hafen von Aqaba und holt Sie dann vom Hafen von Aqaba an der Ausgangstür der Kreuzfahrt ab. Danach werden Sie in einem klimatisierten Fahrzeug für ca. 1,5 Stunden in die rosarote Stadt Petra gebracht, ein Muss im Nahen Osten. Nach der Ankunft im Besucherzentrum starten Sie zu Pferd oder zu Fuß zum Siq, einer engen Schlucht, und weiter zur wunderschönen Schatzkammer. Von dort aus gehen Sie entlang der Straße der Fassaden, der Königsgräber und Qasr Al Bent. Nach Ihrer Tagestour segeln Sie vom Hafen von Aqaba zurück zum Hafen von Taba und werden dann zu Ihrem Hotel in Dahab gebracht

    Positives: - Petra is stunning and well worth a visit - Tour guide was friendly and allowed you to go on your own. I would recommend reading about Petra and the sites before and walking on your own to avoid large crowds. Negatives: - Tour took 21 hours from Dahab. Left at 3am and arrived back at the hotel at 12am - This is mainly due to the Egyptian check-points, slow boarder agents and too long of stops. Overall Egypt is not very organized and when you have 4-8 buses arriving at the boarder at the same time, the time really adds up. We probably had about 3-4 hours waiting for everyone to go through customs there and back. - Drivers to and from the buses were late. To make up for time, they drove 140-150km/h. There were no seatbelts as well, so be prepared for a fast trip to and from the larger buses that actually drive you to the ferry. Overall, this is such a long day and to me personally not worth it. Petra is so beautiful it is worth an overnight trip. I wish we had more time and you could easily spend 2 days there. You get 3 hours in Petra and 12-18 hours of travel, so you can determine if that is a good pay off for you on your trip. Here is a breakdown of the day for people who are interested:

    Petra is stunning. Very long day 245am to 9pm. Car/ferry/ bus. About 3 hours in Petra. We'll worth it!

    Ab 2:50 Uhr war es etwas schwierig, aber um 21:30 Uhr früher als erwartet anzukommen. Die Fähre von Taba nach Akaba in Jordanien war bequem und frisch. Das Restaurant zum Mittagessen war gut. Ganztagestour sparte mir Zeit.
