He did not show up for this trip. He texted at the time of arrival to first say that his driver was in an accident. I ask for another driver then he implies that he is in the hospital and he canceled my trip. I rebook with Viator on a 30 minute long distance call to book with someone else. The trip is more expensive through another company but we only have one day in Cairo. The agent assures me it’s a different company and says there is nothing he can do about the increase in price. It ends up being the exact person who cancelled on me just charging a higher price on the same trip. (Somehow everyone made it out of that fatal crash that occurred two hours before.) I called Viator to complain (another long distance call) and while I was on hold with them, the driver left. Viator has not refunded me for the trip I didn’t take nor issued an apology for their part in apparent fraud. They should not hire the same person under different company names and allow the last minute cancellation/rebooking at a higher rate game.
