Our day seeing Italian Motors was unforgettable, thanks to our amazing guide, Ian. He picked us up at the Florence train station with biscuits waiting for us—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the day.
The drive to the Ferrari Museum was scenic and comfortable with Ian, pointing out notable sites along the way. As soon as we arrived at the first site, we signed up to drive an Italian car. The experience was good, though we drove through the city, so there wasn’t much opportunity to really open it up. Our driving coach, John Marco, was fantastic—knowledgeable & easygoing. The best part was the sound of the car’s engine, especially at startup! My husband drove, I sat in the back. He didn’t stop smiling the entire 30-minute drive. Having a Camaro back home (which is not the same. I get it ) he quickly got a feel for the car.
After the drive, we toured the Ferrari Museum, where we learned about Enzo Ferrari’s quest for the perfect racing machine. Ian recommended we watch Ford v Ferrari, which we did that night—it gave us even more appreciation for what we had seen and experienced. If you’re planning this tour, watching the movie beforehand might be a great idea!
Next, we had lunch at a beautiful local restaurant. Ian was an absolute pleasure to talk to—his knowledge of both Italy and the U.S. made for great conversation. After lunch, we visited a second Ferrari Museum, which was absolutely jaw-dropping as soon as we walked in.
Then, we visited a quaint cheese farm where they produce Parmigiano Reggiano. The tasting was delicious, and we couldn’t resist buying cheese, wine, and other local delicacies to take home.
Our final stop was the Lamborghini Museum. While not as detailed as the Ferrari Museum, it was still very interesting, especially for car enthusiasts.
The day ended with a two-hour drive back to Florence, where Ian continued to be a fantastic host. He made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and full of great conversation.
We highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Ian as your guide, you’re in for a real treat! He was knowledgeable, kind, and truly made our experience special.

Toller Tag mit Ian verbracht! So eine lustige Art, den Tag mit meinem 18-jährigen Sohn zu verbringen! Ich habe so viel über die Autos gelernt und unglaubliche Autos gesehen, die ich noch nie zuvor gesehen habe.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit Antony. Aufgrund von Personalproblemen habe ich ihn statt Ian bekommen. Es war immer noch ein tolles Erlebnis, und ich liebte jede Minute der Ferrari-Tour. Die anderen Museen waren bis auf Lamborghini geschlossen.
Machen Sie auf jeden Fall die Ferrari-Testfahrt, wenn Sie können. Du wirst es nicht bereuen : )
