The museum is very dimly lite making it hard to read the graphic and the time period plates denoting the eras, for example, The Woodland Era, etc. With the exception of the canoe, it seemed like all the artifacts were replicas with displays of current pottery made by the Cherokee. According to a plaque, the reason authentic artifacts are not shown is "for the health and well being" of the Cherokee.
Lastly, don't bother going into the Gift Shop. All the items I saw were "Made in China",
One would think that the Gift Shop would be selling crafts made by the Cherokee.
