Sorry to be negative. I hate leaving mediocre reviews. (And in fact changed my score from 2 to 3 so as not to mess with your ratings. 2.5 might have been most accurate)
Plus we did have fun so you need at least some credit for that.
But my main beef is the generic nature of your app. I know you’re a national company but wow I didn’t expect that to mean that there was literally no tailoring to our city (Providence) whatsoever. I know taking it to that city-specific level would probably increase your dev costs by 10,000 percent or something. But couldn’t you at least start with a small no of cities and build up? Couldn’t you pick just three or four local sites for each of those cities (mix those with a few of your generics) and gradually add from there over time?
Maybe instead (or in addition) you could at least build off the fun photo posting part of the platform and link people in the same city to each other and let them communicate?
Also 30 challenges was a lot. I think we dropped out after less than half of those.
On the positive side, the leader board was compelling. I was with two 11-yr-old girls and that kept us in. Seeing how we stacked up was cool. An amazing payoff would have been if any of our photos or captions received comments.
