A very enjoyable but challenging 2.5 hours, even for those that know their way around Douglas and some of its history.
The quest was well written with accurate information and was about the right length for keen adults (in good weather), but would be too long for bored teenagers or younger children. It worked well for a group of four or five - great for a group of friends who want a treasure hunt.
The only negatives were that the name on the plaque is difficult to read (and was our only 'fail') and the VM gardens were closed when we went there. Also we'd prefer not to submit photos and videos to a website, but that's a personal preference.
As regards the app, we found it a problem that you can't enlarge the text in the app and that it is on a mottled yellow background, which together make it difficult to read, especially in bright weather - this was most awkward in the 'spot the difference ' picture.
The other players struggled to access the game, but just using one phone plus pen and paper (which are vital) worked very well.
Apart from that, we had a fun afternoon and I think we'd each try another one!
Well done GoQuest on designing the game!
