Lynx Encounter für 1 und Park Entry

We booked this encounter then Covid-19 hit. So we did it this weekend. The Arc is a rescue centre where they take in unwanted and rescued exotic animals and I take my hat off to Jimmy and his team for the work they do The price of the encounter includes all day in the sanctuary, but a half day would suffice. The Lynx encounter has morphed into a wild cat encounter. Here we were taken to see the Jungle Cat, Serval and Lynx. We were not allowed in the enclosures with the felines, but were inside the outer fence. We placed food for the Serval in its enclosure, then saw it hunt for it from outside. We fed the Lynx through the wire. Jimmy our host gave interesting facts about the cats history and about the park. A good place to visit as there are Japanese Racoon dogs, lemurs, American Racoons as well as reptiles and other animals.

I booked a Lynx encounter for me and my partner a while back. The day finally came round today. What an amazing little park! The work they are doing is Fantastic, all the animals are rescued, some from awful backgrounds. Unlike a lot of zoos the animals aren’t attractions/ cash cows. This is a sanctuary for animals in need. As for the experience it’s more than worth the money. Not only did we meet and feed Echo the Eurasian Lynx. We also helped with enrichment for their Serval cat and met their Jungle cat along with the Jaguarundi. Jamie was a our guide on the experience, probably the most passionate animal person I have met! The rest of the staff were all lovely and more than happy to answer questions etc. So all in all a brilliant day! Thanks to everyone at Ark
