What seemed like a great deal and experience turned into disappointment and frustration.
Four days prior to the tour, we communicated with a representative of the company on the Trip Advisor phone app. He told us to meet at Marina Las Perlas on the day of the tour for 09:30.
On the day of the tour, our group met up an hour early at the location provided (Marina Las Perlas) to check in and situate ourselves. To our dismay, there was no representative from the Company 'Cancún Tours Sale' to meet us there. We checked in at the welcome desks of the two companies that were operating out of Marina Las Perlas; Diamond Bright Sailing and Cancún Sailing. Neither of these two companies had our reservation and were confused to hear we were looking for a third company there, 'Cancún Tours Sale'. Both of these companies were nice enough to try and help our group by calling the number indicated in the Trip Advisor ad, but to our dismay the number was disconnected. We opened up our Trip Advisor app on our phone to try and message the company and ask what was happening, and where they were waiting for us. No response was given for the 3 hrs that we stayed at the pier.
We left disappointed and frustrated that our money had been spent for nothing.
When we arrived back from our vacation, we called Trip Advisor to report this company. To our surprise, Trip Advisor indicated that 'Cancún Tours Sale' was not going to communicate with us directly, and that 'Cancun Tours Sale' would not be offering a refund as we had not showed up for the tour.
Hopefully others did not expedience what we did on what is supposed to be a stress free vacation. All I can do is stress to others booking through companies on Trip Advisor to be very careful and do your research.
