I am in my late fifties, and it was my first kayaking experience ever. I really wanted to try it, and all previous reviews convinced me that it would be safe and pleasant. Indeed it was. It was nice to receive few reminders and clear guidelines. The place was very easy to find. Our guids, Madeline and Emerson, were super friendly. Everyone was fitted into the life jackets, then we received instruction how to use the paddle. Entry into and exit from the kayak gave me (and others) no trouble at all - our guids helped us quickly and efficiently. Kayaking itself was amazing. Madeline guided us all very well. She spoke about plants and animals of the creek, the origins and quality of water, the history of bridges. We made few stops to rest, snack and take pictures. Emerson was keeping his eye on and conversing with those in the back of the group. Overall, it felt safe and enjoyable. The waters are pretty calm in that creek, but it felt like a nice exercise after two hours of paddling. But I got a blister on my right thumb. Hence, word of advice - take a bandaid with you. I did, and it came handy.
My first kayaking experience was wonderful. Thank you, Madeline and Emerson!
