Our driver was punctual, friendly and give us very good tips about tours in the island. He stopped at a supermarket so we can buy groceries on the way to the resort and nicely made several stops to buy coconuts and other fruits on the way. We highly recommend Tatem Toussaint.

Saint Kitts is one of the few remaining islands in the Caribbean where commercialism hasn't undermined the boundless warmth of the locals, and their willingness to share the beauty of their island with you! Traveling by cab is easy, safe and affordable in St. Kitts. The cabbies are trustworthy, accountable and very knowledgeable of the island. Fares are set by the government, so it's just a matter of deciding where you would like to go. An ample supply of awesome restaurants scattered throughout this small island compete for your dollars with creative dishes, and local standards that are sure tantalize your palate. Dining cost range from very affordable, to pricey, depending on your taste. Evening-ware never exceeded dressy-casual even when indulging at several fine dining restaurants. Portions are fairly large and always tastefully prepared. The beaches were nice and covered with soft sand. Depending on what time of the year you're traveling, seaweed may become an unforeseen nuisance if you are residing on the Atlantic side of the island. But have no fear, we found plenty alternative swimmable beaches with the help of our cabbie when ours wasn't available. Night life is fun and whimsical! Your on vacation so don't be afraid to go with the flow... The locals are out-going and friendly, crime is almost non-existence, and the rum flows freely!

We stayed at the Marriott timeshare and it was very nice. There were plenty of activities at the resort. There was a grocery store right across the street from the Marriott. They had beautiful grills and nice kitchen supplies. We did eat in the Italian restaurant and it was very good. We went to reggae beach -the ribs were outstanding. Stopped by Shipwreck and enjoyed the monkeys. We chartered a sailboat cruise from Captain Coconut and that was an outstanding day of snorkeling ,sailing and stopping at Nevis for lunch. (The conch was so tender at Sunshine bar.) The day ended with a sunset cruise back. Six adults climbed the volcano and at the age of 66 it was by far the hardest thing I think I ever did! But we all did it! There was sargrass on all the Atlantic beaches but we just waded out and enjoyed the ocean anyway. The beaches on the Caribbean didn't have very much of it. We all agreed it was a great vacation. I would recommend going in May during their slow time because nothing was crowded.
