My 1st time to Neumeu and for 4 days only, I thought I will pick Signal Island instead of Amedee for more remote and better chance to spot wild life. and relax..
Dal'Ocean have limited services (no 1/2 day trip as I would like) - email back and forward was abit confusing and cold (assume non-English speaking issue), but they promise weather will be good for Sunday.
Being travel sole and non-French speaker, my host help me to arrange taxi to arrive early at the port. I waited at the port for 30min and there were no show from Dal'Ocean Charter.
Only to find out later that they have email me 6pm the night before to cancel the trip and want to rearrange for Monday instead, due to weather (windy, but sunny out of 4 days I was in Neumeu).
I was all dress and plan for Island trip out (carrying 2L of water as suggested to bring alot of water).. How embarrassing is that to carry all that around.
I email back at a free wifi location to say Monday fine and I have waited for 30min. Next thing I know they have canceled the booking with no explaining or confusing on my payment etc.
Now, I have missed out on going to any of the Islands b/c of timing issue with other operators.
Would I able to get away as a customer decide to cancel a trip with less than 24 hrs notice? Completely poor communication. Could have call my contact no# or at least a notice / note at the port for me to know. Or someone be there just in case I don't get the email? NOTHING. Absolutely rubbish services.
If you are looking at trust and reputable service, Dal'Ocean Charter is not one of them. Either try Mary'D or something much smaller who actually want your business.
