O. M. Goodness!! My daughter and I booked the day trip from Panajachel to the L’Aurora Inn by the airport in Guatemala City with a stop in Antigua. Thanks to our driver, Johnny, it was an amazing day!! Not only did he contact me the night before to introduce himself and give me details of where to meet him, but he was so very kind and attentive to my special requests to help with my car sickness! We were so excited to see Antigua that was arrived in Panajachel early, thinking we would just wait, but Johnny picked us up early!! Out of the kindness of his heart! On our way to Antigua, he made sure I was doing okay with the crazy winding roads and had cold bottled water for both my daughter and I! The drive takes some time, so he gave us wonderful tips and details about this beautiful country and told us about the fun things we should seek out in Antigua! I feel like I learned so much, while not being overwhelmed with useless small talk. Johnny was perfection! When we got to Antigua, he gave us extra time because he wanted us to be able to grab a bite to eat while taking in the historic and delightful community! Antigua was a hoot!! So many kind people and everyone was so patient with my pathetic attempts at Spanish. The street food was amazing and while we didn’t get coffee at the Starbucks, it is truly a stunning treat to see. We got sucked in to the market off the square and had the best time talking with all the vendors, who took “plastic” money and picking out fun souvenirs from this magical place. We did choose to go to Guatemala during the raining season and got caught in a downpour! It, honestly, just added to the fun! We laughed so so much! Before it was time to go Johnny texted me and assured me not to rush and even went so far as to send us a pin of where he would pick us up! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this kind and sincere man who made our last day in Guatemala one of the best days of the trip. If I could rate him more than 5 stars, both my daughter and I wholeheartedly would! He is now saved in my phone and I have every intention of texting him on our next trip to this beautiful country, because there certainly will be a next trip! Thank you so much Daytrip and Johnny for such a memorable day full of kindness and so many smiles. ♥️

Great transportation! We rode in a spacious, air conditioned bus. It took about 1 hour to get to the airport from Antigua. I booked 9 am pickup and it was on a Sunday so there wasn’t as much traffic. There was only me and one other person booked, so it felt like it was private. ❤️
