Although Georgetown is not really designed for bikes (or pedestrians) it is a great alternative to sitting in a bus and riding a bike let's you cover more distance than walking.
Alvin is a competent and friendly guide who knows the city well and one has an opportunity to sample some of the fresh fruits or typical Guyanese snacks in the Bourda market.
He was also flexible and added some extra stops that were not officially on the program.
However, as mentioned, the traffic and behaviour of some drivers can have an impact on the experience as they often do not really consider cyclists when driving. Alvin knows this and steers you away from danger but you still need to be aware what is going on around you.
