If you are looking for an authentic, local's view of these 2 amazing places, look no further than Diego's tour. My wife and I started our day at 7:30 and would highly recommend that you do the same as we were able to beat the crowd at the Guachimontones and get a head start in Tequila, even on a Saturday. There were still people coming in as we were heading back to Guadalajara.
We are always impressed as we explore new areas in Mexico and having Diego as our personal tour guide for the day was the perfect way to experience these amazing landmarks. Diego is very knowledgeable on the area and it is easy to see that he has a passion for history as well as folklore. The information he's equipped with is a perfect amount without feeling overloaded.
He recommenced many good places to eat, drink, and shop, but ultimately left the decision up to us. There is lots to do in Tequila, so don't be shy if you have an idea of something specific you'd like to see.
We were on the fence about trying to travel on our own to these sites and we would have been without 90% of the interesting information and history without Diego. Not to mention we would have not gotten the delicious local food. "When you see the abuelas in their aprons, that's how you know good food is coming," he said. If you are on the fence, you will not regret your day with Diego.
