Trustworthy, transparent and objective. Everything you could want in a travel agent. We could not praise Neil and his team at Smile Travel in Hanoi highly enough. Neil is a genuinely decent and nice chap. We booked a 3 day Halong bay tour (Orchid Trendy boat) and Sapa-Hanoi sleeper bus via Neil. He was patient and promptly answered my many questions without ever getting tired. Communication via wats app was instantaneous and the organisation of our itineraries was fabulous. He gave us plenty of excellent advice, even about other parts of our holiday that we were not organising with him. There was never any attempt to upsell or pressurise us into a sale, and the prices he offered were very competitive. Having booked out trips with Smile from the UK, we visited the office after arriving in Hanoi. We were given a warm welcome and some excellent coffee and delicious fresh mango. Neil kindly arranged for us to be delivered a local Vettel SIM card for a far cheaper price than the Viettel store, and even paid for our taxi back to our hotel (despite my best efforts to give him the money). He also arranged for the sleeper bus to drop us in the airport without the usual surcharge. There are countless travel agencies in Hanoi but I honestly don’t think you can be in better hands than Smile Travel. They put their customers needs and happiness above a profit.
