    From the moment you board the Athena Royal you are made to feel welcome and a special guest to the wonderful staff that manage this cruise. We would both highly recommend this Ha Long Bay cruise to anyone looking for something special. We booked the balcony room suite 2 and we were both very pleased with the very high comfort level. Great value for money.

    I was glad I did a lot of research before choosing this 2day cruise with Athena as there are so many Halong Bay cruises to choose from and it can be mind numbing! The ship was of a nice intimate size, with around 35-40 guests, all of whom seemed polite and nice. The quality of accommodation, with private balcony was excellent, the bathroom was pretty spacious and well appointed and the bed a great size. However the standout for us was the Cruise Manager..the simply wonderful Mr Tim! He was welcoming, an excellent, engaging communicator with a professional yet gentle style and has a great sense of humour too. When repeating the same cruise again and again it would be easy to get complacent, bored and let standards drop and Tim doesn’t let this happen. He has engendered a super team spirit into the staff, who we found to be polite and respectful. We highly recommend this cruise. Thank you once again Tim! ????

    Excellent 5-star cruise with excellent service from the staff. Good and spacious rooms with balcony. Good food spread. Helpful staff.
