My boyfriend and I enjoyed this tour. The cave is well lit, creating awesome photos. Our guide, Taylor, was knowledgeable, professional, and personable.
Tips:
1. It’s not 66 degrees like the website says. It might be 66 degrees during winter months, not not in July. It was closer to 76 with the humidity — but still better than the 100 degrees outside. This chilly willy took a jacket but it stayed tied around my waist.
2. Wear tennis shoes with traction. The rock is smooth and moist. Don’t be that guy who shows up in flip flops and then gets mad they’re turned away.
3. The echo game is strong. If you’re planning to converse with your husband, bring small children, or cough the whole time, then please stay home because the group can’t hear the guide over your noise. It’s mind blowing how disrespectful people can be.
4. Most importantly, bring cash to tip your guide. They work hard to provide a fun and educational experience.
I highly recommend this tour. I can’t believe it’s taken me 15 years to check it out.
