This review needs to be read with empathy for the operator. We had chosen three venues, Acheollon Palace, Konoki and Mouse Island, and Pelekas/Kaiser's Throne.
On the morning of the trip there was the grandaddy of a storm and torrential rain, and the driver gave us the option of changing venues or "doing his best" in the circumstances. We chose the latter, as changing venues was senseless unless wholly inside. We agreed that Pelekas/Kaiser's throne, on the west of the island, was too risky in view of possible flooding or landslides. Acheollon Palace, we knew was closed, but a reasonable view was normally available. On this day, there was not, an outer gate being closed. A first attempt to see Kanoki and Mouse Island was aborted as there were umpteen buses from four cruise ships blocking the way to the viewing point, and, not wanting us to need to be drowned trying, and wrung out while flooding the INSIDE of his car, our resourceful driver took us to Gouvia Marina for a coffee during which rain, mercifully ceased. It was fascinating to see the yachts that I, and many millionaires could not afford, together with some used by the Border Force to catch the Drug lords! We then made a second, successful, attempt to conquer the viewing point at Kononi and managed some exquisite, but monochrome stormy views of the usually exquisite and colouful Mouse Island. The driver/guide was clearly disappointed for us and could not have done more in dreadful circumstances. That's why the morning gets five stars instead of a two, which leaving all the circumstances aside, it would have otherwise deserved.
