Cannot recommend this highly enough! We took three kids (ages 12, 9 & 8) and all of us loved it. Pat is a local farmer who spurred the idea for the coastal walkway that crosses 39 farms - he’s interesting, friendly and was great with the kids as was Alex, his guiding partner on our tour. The views of the cliffs were extraordinary!
Note: this is a modest hike - proper shoes, water & rain gear is a must. A major storm in Jan 2025 washed out major portions of the walkway that are in the process of being rebuilt so we took a minibus to the top of the open part of the trail and walked back down into Doolin - it was ~4 miles with some steeper declines so come well prepared. It would be a tougher hike going up so confirm beforehand what to expect and come prepared. It’s worth it!
This will be a highlight of our trip - we had great weather and got views of the cliffs you cannot get from the crowded visitor center. Highly recommend!
