My family had a blast. The staff was very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had the best possible experience. You really need to be ready to participate to maximize your enjoyment but if you are, the music and dancers will make it worth the admission.
The staff was really good about making sure we had seats. The shows sell out so when our flight got rearranged, I asked if we could reschedule for a few days later and they said that it was no problem. We got in and they took care of our seating so we weren't sitting way upstairs away from the dancing. There is a working bar in the room so if you want to have a drink during the show (which is about two hours), you can. You'll need to go up to the bar to get one but it is available.
The music and dancing is interactive. The dancers put on music and then bring everyone onto the floor. They walk you through each step but even if you're not a great dancer, you can follow along well enough. Even if you don't want to dance, you can sit back and watch but it is a lot more fun if you are in the dance. When they aren't showing you how to dance, they are putting on their own performance. The dancers are professionals so you feel like you are getting an authentic experience. Between the dances, there is a guitarist playing traditional Irish music. For entertainment during the day that is family-friendly, this is one of the best you'll see.
For anyone not from Ireland looking to experience Irish culture, this is well worth it. With it's connection to the Merchant's Arch for dinner and drinks, you can easily make an afternoon here.
