Kuari Pass Trek – 8 Tage

Hi. My partner and I have recently completed the Kuari Pass trek which we booked through Red Chilli Adventure in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. India. I would like to thoroughly recommend Red Chilli Adventure due to the very positive experience we had with them. The trek itself was beautiful -a combination of forest, rhododendron meadows and reasonably challenging climbs, through beautiful terraced villages and it offers views of the snowy topped peaks of the Himalayas. The trek is a good 'alrounder', very accessible for novice trekker and one which is challenging enough for the experienced trekker to feel satisfied. The organisation of the trek was v.professional , eg all transfers, required national park passes and a well organised team including horse man, chef, kitchen hand and guide, ensured it all went smoothly. The tent supplied was good quality and waterproof (we had a downpour one night) and sleeping mats comfortable. Food- very good, nutritious, plentiful and varied- suggest when booking to give advance notice of dietary requirements (we are vegan) our food was prepared accordingly. Our chef, Tango, was very accommodating and friendly the quality and quantity of food was very good. Our guide- Kiran, was fantastic...really knowledgeable, friendly and gave us information en route regarding the local culture, identified the mountains we saw, overall safety was his first consideration. Nightly briefings about the next days wallking were useful. So all in all, very happy with how it went. Planning a treck next year with this company -Manali through to Ladakh. Une découverte pour nous et quelle merveilleuse découverte. Ce trek est magnifique, varié, rencontre avec les populations locales absolument charmantes. Nous avons été guidé par une équipe super professionnelle qui ne laisse rien au hasard et nous avons eu un véritable voyage autour de la gastronomie indienne ne mangeant jamais deux fois la même chose et que dire des courageux et si chaleureux horsemen qui nous ont accompagné pendant ces jours. Bref bravo redchilli nous savions cette agence très sérieuse c’est confirmé. Le trek est leur cœur de métier, allez y en totale confiance

Nous sommes partis en famille avec mes parents et ma femme. Un régal pour ce trek qui nous a tous challengé. L’équipe qui nous a encadré a était au petit soin pour nous du début à la fin. Kiran notre guide, Calo notre chef cuisinier, Aakash le soutient et les horses man nous ont apporté beaucoup d’attentions. Nous avons pu manger des plats différents tous les soirs et midi malgré les lieux insolites et isolés ou nous avons pu dormir. Que du positif lors de ce trek, nous nous sommes tous dépassés. Petite remarque sur l’équipement que nous aurions pu prendre en plus. Nous avons eu un peu froid la nuit. En effet les températures chutent à -10degré. L’hiver a été plus tôt que prévu.
