Tansania Special Wildeebests Migration Safaris -9 Tage / 8 Nächte

We are an Israeli family of 4 - two parents with two daughters in their early twenties, we travel a lot together and have experienced some adventures so we definitely have a perspective and what to compare to. We just completed a 9-day private tour with Bright African Safaris (BAS) from mid October 2022. It was not less than amazing! Our guide and driver was - Rajabu. The company was very responsive and cooperative since the beginning of planning the trip and up to our last question and request, doing their best to make sure we enjoy and well taken care of. Salim gave us fast answers and all needed information. They were flexible to include everything we wanted and gave us good advice regarding the plan. Rajabu was the perfect guide - knowledge, funny, good storyteller, kind and flexible. He did whatever was in his power to make a perfect experience for us. He was with us and yet made sure to keep our privacy when needed. He had just the perfect person to accompany us in our journey. Moreover and most important- he really is the king of the safari knows where to find the action in the jungle, the active Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and many more animals. No animal was left behind - we definitely saw them all! We saw hunting, herds river crossing, prey hiding and eating from every possible angle. Rajabu is also a birds expert so we had the chance to learn and watch numerous birds. We also visited some tribes. It was an amazing experience which on top of being really interesting, was important to our understanding of Africa as well as an eye opener to the life here. We learned about the tribes life and heritage and even joined the bushman’s people (The Hadzabe) to their hunting Kudu, which was unbelievable! The accommodation was good including three meals per day while considering our requests. BAS provided us hot meals for lunch and not simple boxes. All in all we found the company and our guide Rajabu just perfect! We strongly and from the depth of our hearts recommend on traveling with them and trusting them. It was a dream of mine to go on a safari and Bright African Safari, Salim (who personalized our itinerary) and Hamisi Mashauri (our tour guide) did an outstanding job making sure everything was wonderful. Salim was exceptional with providing information and giving advise, communicating with us and answering all of our questions. Bright African Safari prepared our truck by stocking it with snacks, drinks, hand sanitizer, baby wipes and even toilet paper (in case the bush toilet was needed). Hamisi was a very hard working guide. After a 10 hour safari drive, he would take us to the lodge to relax but his day wasn't over. He washed down the truck inside and out each evening and arranged with the chef to prepare a wonderful (three course lunch for the next day. Each morning he was always ready to greet us with a big smile and lots of energy. Hamisi was an excellent guide. He would track the animals by footprints and he understands how the animals roam and he knows where all the picturesque spots were. In the course of 4 hours we were able to see two groups of wildebeests migrate across the Mara River and got us front row spot for viewing. Each day we wondered how he could possible top the previous day but he did. Bright African Safari is a top notch safari company. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. Hamisi is a wonderful and knowledgable guide who made our experience one we will never forget. We look forward to returning for another safari soon and will be requesting Hamisi to be our guide. We heard about Bright African Safaris (BAS) from a couple we met on a trip in California in 2018; they had recently returned from a safari with BAS and they highly recommended the experience and particularly to do it with BAS, an African-owned and operated company based in Tanzania. Our first point of contact, Salim, was very helpful and he designed a wonderful safari itinerary, in terms of the national parks to explore and overnight accommodations (tented camps and lodges, each with their own form of luxury). He was very responsive to the many questions that we asked. The experience came to life through our driver-guide, Hamisi Mashauri. I can’t say enough wonderful things about him, but here are a few: warm and friendly manner, high level of energy all during the day, his love for Tanzania’s people, landscape and animals, and his constant care for us – not just as clients but as friends. He knew where, and when, to go to see the animals, and convinced us quickly to be patient and let the animals “do their thing.” BAS and Hamisi delivered a high standard of excellence. He always anticipated how to make things comfortable for us, and he consistently took the extra step to make that happen. For example, we were at a picnic spot where there were no canopies, tables, or benches. Unlike other drivers, Hamisi extended the vehicle’s awning over our table and chairs to make a perfect setting to view the animals in the marsh nearby as we enjoyed a delicious lunch. In another situation, at a tented camp, we were talking with another group before dinner and Hamisi was with us. They had been out on safari and saw no animals. When we told them how many animals we had seen, including 2 river crossings of wildebeest and elephants playing in the river (all in one day!), they asked if Hamisi could give some guidance to their driver as to where and when to go. Both my wife and I shed a few tears of joy when we said “good-bye” to Hamisi. The experience with BAS and Hamisi was truly extraordinary and far-exceeded expectations. I highly recommend them.
