4 Tage Masai Mara Lake Nakuru Jeep Safari

I was on a 4 day/3 night trip to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru at the end of May. The time was great because we were able to see all big 5 animals and the parks weren’t overcrowded. Boniface, our guide was very knowledgeable and knew where to spot the animals. The major downside of the trip and which unfortunately put a big dent in the experience was the organization. First off we were picked up 45min later than told and no one was really able to be reached under the phone number provided for the most part. Further, the van broke down twice and we had to switch to other vans to continue game drives. Also don’t be fooled by the itinerary on TripAdvisor as they don’t represent the amount of time you’re on game drives. I specifically chose this company for the time of game drive which didn’t end up being the case. Especially, on our 3rd day we didn’t do any drives because a couple in the group had to go back to Nairobi. Overall, on day 1 we did about 2h of game drive, day 2 a full day of drive (both in Masai Mara), none on day 3 and 4h of game drive at Lake Nakuru on day 4. Since we were on different vans throughout the trip we came to find out that there are many companies that offer the same/similar trip for the same price or even cheaper. I recommend doing some research.

Die Safari war eine tolle Erfahrung. Konnten die Big Five alle sehen. Unser Safari Guide Ambros kennt die Masai Mara wie seine Westentasche und ist ein toller Fahrer. Dass wir so viele Tiere so nah sehen konnten, ist hauptsächlich sein Verdienst.
