Ramhari was a great trekking guide. He was very flexible when I needed to change my start date and accomodating to meeting me in Pokhara instead of Kathmandu to spare me that 10 hour drive twice. His communication was great, explaining everything we would be doing and he was very knowledgeable. His brother in law helped out as a porter and was great as well. I was clearly there during off peak season (winter) and so a lot of the guest houses were closed but also we didn't have to wait hours to get served food so there are pros and cons. For the Poon Hill trek there were beautiful views, culminating in the sunrise hike (and I really don't like sunrise hikes but this was worth it I'll admit) to Poon Hill which gave great clear views of the Annapurna range. I didn't think there would be so many steps on hikes in the himalayas but it sounds like almost all of the hikes involve a number of steps vs. natural paths, that would be my only complaint. Ram even hopped in the kitchen of one of the restaurants when the man's wife (the cook) was gone and Ram made momos for us. Would definitely recommend.
