We arrived mid-morning which was great as there were few other cars to deal with other then the occasional car hog who blocked the best sighting spots along the drive through route. There were bears and lions and buffalo which were all out and about which made for a nice attraction. If your an animal lover, you'll love this. BUT: There were a few hiccups:
The audio provided that you scan to your phone only worked for about a minute then abruptly shut off, don't know why.
More annoying was the security in this safari, they were every 30 feet you either saw someone on foot, a safari truck, or an employee rather hiding in a hut along the route watching every last car that drives through. At one point an employee in his truck stops and jumps out to yell at someone in their car. Not sure what that was about because we didn't see anything happen. This was along the entire safari route. I'm sure there are nuts who jump out of their car and want to pet the wild bear but come on, most of us know better. So if you don't mind being treated like a prisioner all along this route (about 45 min drive) being instructed by big signs "keep windows rolled up, & Don't get out of your car" repeating over and over and actually have big safari trucks all over watching what your doing in your car, then by all means go. One reminder would have been sufficient but, I've never seen anything run so tight as this place, totally unreal. I spent more time saying omg, look, there is another safri security truck.
For us, a nice zoo is just as good without all the helicopter security up your butt looking at you as if your about to make a slight infraction to their rules.
